Abstract (EN)

In this study, the transcription and review of Harput District's Shar'iyyah Record dated H.1036-1037/M.1627 are made. First of all, after giving information about kadi institution, Shar'iyyah courts and Shar'iyyah records; the documents in the records in question are summarized and they are classified by their subject and their overall review is made. Thereafter transcription text is included.In this record that is the subject of our study; the records concerning purchase and sale, debt registration, partition of inheritance, appointment of guardianship, grant, alimony, tax, robbery, libel, murder and the records of the document copies such as edict, license, memorandum, letter are included. In the course of the wars between the Ottoman Empire and Iran, because Diyarbakır's location is close to Iran border, the Empire used it as a base. There are many documents on this subject in the record, since the preparation stage of this record coincided with siege of Baghdad. In these documents, some points are included, which are the attendance of janissaries and cavalrymen to the siege, to meet the needs of the army and store of grain supply.
