Abstract (EN)

Court Records, which have a great place among the historical sources of the Ottoman State in terms of both value and availability, are very important as they illuminate the history of the region and period to which they belonged. In our study which is titled "Transcription and Evaluation of Manisa Court Register Numbered 424 Dated Hijri 1326-1330 / Gregorian 1908-1912", we attach importance to the contribution of the Ottoman State and also the Kula to the social, legal, administrative, economic and local history of the mentioned years. Our study consists of introduction and main three parts. In the introduction part, we found it necessary to give brief information about Manisa and Kula district, where our registry belonged. In addition, the changes and developments in the Ottoman legal history from the classical period to the last period, which we included in the first chapter, will shed light on issues such as the change in the Kadi's place in the state throughout history and how the subjects covered by the registers narrowed over time, etc., will shed light on researchers who willl work on similar subjects. The second part of our study is the definition, transcription, documents summaries of the registry number 424, and the third part is the original sections where we classify our registry and evaluate it in detail. It is a book which belonged to the Kula, which was recorded in the Manisa Court Registry catalog numbered 424, which we transcribed and evaluated, between 1326 and 1330 Hijri. The registry, which consists of general and spacial powers of attorney, covers issues such as inheritance, shares, property, sales, debt, marriage, dowry, divorce, seizure and intervention, Powers of attorney are available. As a result of our study, we have obtained data on various subjects such as the settlement of the region, demographic structure, social structure, social and cultural life, economic situation of the people, currency used and economy, in the years which belonged to Manisa Court Records numbered 424, specially in Kula of the Ottoman state.
