Abstract (EN)
In the historical studies of the Ottoman State, both the first hand source and the rich variety of subjects, the Ottoman Şer'iye sicilis (court registers) stands out. While the records it contains reflect the period and daily life of the region in particular, it provides information on the administrative judical military economic socio-cultural mechanism of the Ottoman State in general. The evaluation of these records allows for the emergence of studies on various subjects and in different disciplines. It also a fact that it has recently created a source of information for many studies in the field of micro history. On this occasion, Beşiktaş No. 10 Şer'iyye Registry, which contains court records from the time frame h.980-983 / m.1572-1575, was chosen in order to make a small contribution to the work to be carried out on the basis of şer'iyye sicilis. In this study, firstly, the registry was transcribed and the summaries of the case records were prepared. Following this, the introduction and evaluation of the registry has been revealed. In the evaluation phase, the records included in the registry were classified according to the subject and the terms related to the subject were explained. In the light of the emerging data, various commercial activities belonging to Beşiktaş town of the period, supervision of tradesmen and quality control of products, the role of slave and concubine institution, the details of the foundation, bail and proxy institutions, theft, extortion, insult, The opportunity to obtain information on many issues such as the detection and punishment of crimes such as intoxication and adultery has emerged. Various professions and officials, as well as valid currencies, have been evaluated about neighborhoods, villages and settlements that still exist today. In addition, while revealing the topographic structure of Beşiktaş regarding the period of the records, it is possible to reach detailed information about the demographic dimension of the social structure, the relationship of religious and ethnic groups with each other.
