Children's literature studies by H. Salih Zengin

Children's literature is one of the most important stimuli that the child should encounter in childhood, which can greatly complement the development of cognitive, sensory, linguistic and intellectual intelligence and includes critical periods in the development of the child. Children's literature manages to enter the world of the child with its qualified works based on child's and child reality. The child can define himself and the world by understanding better through children's literature. Although the existence of works and works aimed at children goes back a long time, children's literature develops as a contemporary concept. Although children's literature in our country developed later than European countries, especially after 1979 was declared the World Year of Children, important works based on child reality started to be given. One of the important authors known today for his work and works for children is H. Salih Zengin. H. Salih Zengin was born in 1974 in The Andirn district of Maraş,he has written for children on various platforms since 1996 and is a contemporary children's literature writer who has addressed children with many magazines. The aim of our research is to explain H. Salih Zengin's view of children's and children's literature and to evaluate the stories, fairy tales and novels he wrote for children and his essay book for children according to the principles and general qualities of children's literature. As a result of our research, H. Salih Zengin's essay book for children, magazines, stories, fairy tales, novels and children has been obtained since 1996. The author used simple, understandable language, often featuring children's and animal characters in his works. One of the most important features of the works is that imagination, colors and nature are frequently included. The author has written works with a strong literary aspect, using literary arts such as depiction. In his works, the author tried to make the child learn in literary pleasure by frequently focusing on historical heroes, historical places, religious elements and values. In the process of our research, the method of descriptive scanning from qualitative research methods was used. H. Salih Zengin was interviewed and other sources and works that could be obtained about him were analyzed. The findings are categorized and presented under the relevant headings. With our research, it is thought that H. Salih Zengin and his works can be introduced to the literature and help with the researches that can be done later.
