Abstract (EN)
In this study, various types of lightweight concrete were investigated. The properties of normal and lightweight concrete were compared. General information about the classifications of lightweight concrete were given from the existing literature. The mecanical, physical and chemical properties volcanic slag aggregates which are widely available in Elazig region were investigated, Lightweight concrete in various densities were produced by using this lightweight aggregates. Additionally, the investigated lightweight concrete with volcanic slag and the others like; pumice concrete, gas-concrete, perlite concrete and ferrochrome slag which all have been widely used or suggested to be used were compared by considering economical reasons. The density and thermal conductivity values of lightweight concretes which were investigated by considering economy were compared within it.
