Abstract (EN)

In the world and with education and training, thinner and educational building elements have started to be produced. One of the structural elements produced is light steel construction elements. Cold-formed steel structures; Although its use is increasing, its resistance to fires, which is an important risk in buildings, is very low. If precautions are not taken against fires in these structures, great losses will be caused. There are various insulation materials in light steel structures to ensure the safety of life and property against fire. In this experimental study, the post-fire behavior of smart screw column-beam joints was investigated by using fire-protective intumescent paint on frames made of cold-rolled steel structures. The beams formed by placing a gusset plate between the cold rolled C200 profiles back to back are connected with self-tapping screws. A total of 10 experimental setups were set up with C200 beam profiles with 2 different wall thicknesses, with gusset plates with 3 different wall thicknesses, with 2 different paint thicknesses, and whether a stiffening plate is used or not. The 10 beams formed were heated in the furnace according to the standard fire curve, provided that they were exposed to fire. All of the elements used in the experiment are real scale. The behavior of the beam-column junction under load and after fire has been investigated with moment-rotation graphs. The failure modes of the joints are also determined. The group was formed and compared. In addition, previous literature studies were compared with unpainted studies similar to our experience. As a result of the evaluations, when intumescent paint was applied to light steel structure joints against fire, it became protective against fire. It has increased the performance of light steel joints against fire.
