Abstract (EN)

All the basic discourses of visual culture are the approach that approaches the perception of the essence of representation, and the approach that the images of things are perceived entirely and only in the mind. In this study, the interpretations of the door image given to Mentally Handicapped Individuals according to their perception levels were the starting point of the study; In the second stage, studies were carried out in order to transform the meaning of the image in question into design in accordance with plastic values in healthy individuals. The reshaping of the image of the door in minds has been the source of the thesis with its objective existence being familiar and offering possibilities beyond the meanings it represents. In addition to being the object of absolute visuality, the image comes out of the position of being seen and viewed only from its standing. In this study, it becomes evident that images transform into elements of perception and status of individuals and how they become dynamic representations. In order to comprehend the nature of the new kind of relationship that man will establish with images, the study reflecting the perception of vision in a perceptual and holistic context is studied with a view based on the philosophical and artistic references of the concept of image. The discourses built on the reflections of healthy individuals were analyzed by the selected images, and the process related to the perception of the image was drawn to the process of mental transformation.
