Electric vehicle (EV) technologies focused on the automotive industry are in rapid progress. One of them is charging technologies. We can collect the charging technologies of EV's under two sub-titles as contact and contactless. Contactless charging systems generally work with methods based on electric field (capacitive) or magnetic field (inductive) principles. With this method, they make contactless power transfer in accordance with the battery charging requirements of EV's with an efficiency of more than 80% from a certain distance (100-300 mm). Inductive power transfer (IPT) can be performed at lower frequencies (20-250 Khz) compared to other methods. For this reason, it is the most preferred power transmission method by researchers and commercial manufacturers today. However, electromagnetic scattering that occurs during power transfer in this method can be dangerous for living things. According to ICNIRP standards, the amount of magnetic flux that the human body is exposed to at an operating frequency of 0.8-150 Khz should not exceed 27.30 µT. For this, active and/or passive shielding method should be applied in the IPT system. Within the scope of this study, the effectiveness of shielding methods for the secondary side mounted on the vehicle chassis of an IPT system and the use of ferrite core together with aluminum shielding were investigated. At the same power transfer performance; The determination of the effective parameters in the shielding design in accordance with ICNIRP standards and reducing the iron losses that may occur in the bicycle frame was made with the Finite Element Method (FEM). The parameters in the design are optimized with the Taguchi L9 orthogonal array.
