Abstract (EN)

As the world population increases rapidly and technology develops day by day, the need for energy is constantly increasing. We preferred solar energy systems, which are renewable energy sources, for various reasons such as not harming the environment and not causing global warming. The power to be produced in solar energy systems varies mainly depending on the amount of radiation reaching the PV panel surface. Estimating solar radiation is important for reliable planning of the solar energy system and creating an efficient design. The higher the intensity of solar radiation, the higher the electrical energy to be produced by solar panels. In this study, the usability of solar energy in an educational institution was evaluated and its potential advantages were determined. In the study, the interior installation electrical project calculation was made using the AutoCAD program and the demand power was calculated as 281 kW electricity need. Then, a design study was carried out using the PVsyst program for the application and the Matlab/Simulink program for the calculation, using the 281 kW Hakkari University Library Building energy requirement PV system. Since the roof slope we used in the study was 21.5°, we produced 97821 kWh/year of electricity. We obtained the maximum energy production for a roof slope of 10°. Since Hakkari province is in the 4th region in terms of snow load, the minimum roof slope should be 15°. A comparison of the amount of energy produced according to different roof slopes was made. In addition, the data obtained from the programs were compared. Key Words: Photovoltaic, Matlab/Simulink, PVsyst, AutoCAD.
