Abstract (EN)
When we look at the studies conducted in the Turkish Language and Literature department, we see that the vast majority of them are handled and processed in the genres of poetry, stories and novels. Among literary genres, research and studies on theater are quite rare compared to other academic studies. The reason for this is probably that theater is seen more as a stage art and that there is no clear system for examining the theater text. However, although theater works are conveyed to the audience on stage, each of these works is a literary text. In addition, researching and examining theater works from a literary perspective will benefit the "text" dimension, which is one of the important aspects of stage art, and the development of theater history. Most of the postgraduate studies conducted on Haldun Taner have focused on the author's storytelling. However, Taner's playwriting is no less than his storytelling. Moreover, he played an important role in introducing Turkish theater to the world. In this study, Haldun Taner's theaters will be evaluated as a whole. The thesis, which basically consists of two parts, covers Haldun Taner's life, worldly world and his understanding of theatre in the first part, and theatre plays in the second part. Theatre plays are evaluated in six sub-sections: Essence and Form, Setting, Time, Characters, Sequence of Events, Plot. With this study, Haldun Taner's place in Turkish play writing, his contribution to Turkish play writing and his results continue to be determined.
