Haliloglu's mawlid

"Mawlid" which literally means birth, birthplace and birthday is a genre that expresses some phases of Prophet Muhammad's life and especially his birth with praise in our literature. In Turkish Literature, there are a large number of mawlid types written in verses. One of them is mawlid of Haliloglu which is the subject of our research. In the introductory part of the study, information is given about the poets who use the pseudonym Haliloglu in Turkish literature. In addition, the position of Haliloglu's mawlid was mentioned. In the first chapter, the shape and content of the mawlid which we have discussed are given. In the second part, the manuscript copy of mawlid was considered and the method followed while transferring the work to today's letters is emphasized. Finally, this section contains the transcribed text of mawlid. The conclusion part consists the evaluation of this study, and the bibliography.
