Abstract (EN)

It was aimed to investigate the effects of majors and education type of students received education based on physical and physiological sufficiency in different departments of universities on physical sufficiency, and to determine their physical and physiological profiles with comparison in this study.Physical fitness parameter of experimental group was measured by using EUROFIT test battery. A total of 357 individual, 95 males and 81 females from folk dances department of Government Conservatory and 109 males and 72 females from teaching department of physical education and sport vocational school, was involved to the study.Anaerobic power, flexibility, long jumping in rest, handgrip, stem power, hanging with bent arm, 10x5 shuttle running and aerobic power trait values except for sport age variability of female students from physical education department were higher than that of the students from folk dances department, and no meaningful differences were determined between groups with respect to the values of body height, body weight, VY%, balancing and strike on discs.Flexibility, VY%, long jumping in rest, handgrip, stem power, hanging with bent arm, 10x5 shuttle running, aerobic power trait values except for sport age and flamingo balancing finding values of male students from physical education department were higher than that of the students from folk dances department, and no meaningful differences were determined between groups with respect to the values of body height, body weight, strike on discs and anaerobic power properties.This research showed that there were similarities between the students from physical education and folk dances in aspects of physical parameters.
