Abstract (EN)

In recent researches around the world, it is seen that in many areas, including the cosmetics sector, people turn to natural origin products. For this reason, it is aimed to investigate the activities of Asplenium ceterach L., Malva sylvestris L., Portulaca oleracea L., Persea americana Mill. and Equisetum arvense L. plants, which have been used traditionally for skin problems in our country for years, and to scientifically prove that they can be used as anti-aging. Accordingly, the aerial parts of A. ceterach, M. mylvestris, P. oleracea and E. arvense and the leaves of P. americana were prepared with methanol (MeOH) extracts. In addition, based on these extracts, two different organic-inorganic hybrid nanoflower structures were synthesized using copper (Cu2+) and zinc (Zn2+) ions for the first time. These synthesized nanostructures were characterized by SEM, EDX, XRD and FT-IR analyzes. Subsequently, in vitro studies were conducted on the inhibition of hyaluronidase and gelatinase (MMP-2 / MMP-9) enzymes, which have important functions in our skin. It has been determined that the activity of nanostructures is superior to methanol extracts in our research within the scope of the thesis. Zinc (Zn2+) hybrid nanoflower structure of P. americana with the highest inhibitory activity on hyaluronidase enzyme. And it was determined that E. arvense had the highest inhibition on gelatinase enzyme with its copper (Cu2+) hybrid nanoflower structure. In the light of these information, it is aimed to bring effective, safe, high quality and new generation preparations to the cosmetics sector by using the nanoflower structures of the plant extracts.
