Abstract (EN)

Mysticism is a very important part of Ottoman religious and social history. Nevertheless, studies that shed light on Ottoman history have relatively few religious and religious studies. This area brings with it serious research that needs to be meticulously studied. Particularly when it was discussed in the size of the tariqas, some sides were neglected and some sides were given more weight. In spite of all these, there is an unspecified series about mysticism and sufi community in the Ottoman period. In this study, the Shemsiyye branch of the Khalwatiyya tariqa which is one of the most crowded groups in the existing mysticism community in the Ottoman State and the branches of Sivasiyye, Nûrîyye, Suziyye and Şiriniye connected to it were examined. In the first part; first of all, some basic concepts in both lexicography and Sufi literature have been explained. Then, the history of the Khalwatiyya order, the founding sheikhs, the order of the sect, the emergence of branches and branches of the sect were given. In the second part; the main subject of the study is the mystical histories of the founding sheikhs of the Shemsiyye branch and its branches. In the third part; the dervish lodges and foundations established by the sheikhs and caliphs of Shemsiyye, Sivasiyye and Nûrîyye in the Ottoman area from Zile, Sivas, Istanbul and the Balkans were evaluated in the light of archival sources. In the last section; the relations between the founding sheikhs and the Ottoman sultanate and the bureaucracy and the discussions between the Ottoman ulama and Sivâsî sheikhs were considered.
