Abstract (EN)
The Hamdanis are a state that ruled under the caliphate during periods when the power and power of the Abbasid State was weakened. Although they were Shia, they taught a sermon on behalf of the Abbasid Caliph as a requirement for their rule in the areas of Mosul and Aleppo, which have a dense Sunni population, and tried to expand their borders when they had the opportunity. In this context, the Hamdanis fought with them in order to prevent Byzantine attempts to invade the Sugur line and to capture the region in private. In our study X. the presence and activities of the Hamdanis, who continued to exist in two regions: the Mosul branch and the Aleppo branch for a century, were examined in their geography. It is mentioned that the Hamdanoğulları, whose lineage is based on the Benu Taglib tribe, settled in Diyar-ı Rebi'a after the first Islamic conquests. After the Hamdanoğulları became a separate state, the relations that they established with Byzantium were examined and the wars that occurred between them were acquired. The Hamdanis are a Shiite state that managed to create a successful line of defense in the Sugur region against Byzantium, albeit for a short period. The greatest and most powerful ruler of the hamdanids was Seyfuddevle. He tried to stop the attacks and invasions of the Byzantines by fighting an epic struggle at the cost of his life and breathed new life into the struggle of the Muslims against Byzantium. The rule of the Hamdani dynasty for a century is a product of this struggle of Seyfuddevle.
