Abstract (EN)

Oral and dental health problems that cause poor quality of life can be prevented and a few of them are required for the problem. In this study, we colleborated with 6 to 22 weeks pregnant women in three different methods for oral and dental health education. 110 women who were pregnant for 6-22 weeks participated in the study. Of these, 39 will be included in short animated films, 37 in brochure information (BB), 34 patients will be included in verbal information groups, and patients have been given oral dental health training in the clinic and out of the hospital. Patients were pre-information for face-to-face meetings of all types of education. They were asked to complete a questionnaire before education, one month after education and three months after education. Their demographic features, information about the practice related to oral hygiene, and detailed information about their child's oral and dental health was assessed IBM for Statistics v.26 statistics package program was used to analyze the data of the thesis study. Pearson Chi-square (2) relationship analysis was used to scale the relationships between variables. Usuality coefficient (Contigency Coefficient) was used for the strength of the relationship. As a result of power analysis, 110 people participated in our study with 88% confidence interval. The research has revealed that as a result of the evaluation of the level of knowledge about the oral and dental health of the participants in the short animated films, brochure information and verbal information groups immediately, 1. and 3. months after the education. It can be considered that education increased awareness of dental health. When three different education methods are evaluated as question-based and comparative, it is observed that the short animated films method creates a significant increase in the knowledge level of the participants in more questions than the brochure information method. We also demonstrated that the brochure information method brought about a remarkable increase in the knowledge level of the participants in more problems than the verbal information method. Among the training of the oral and dental health which has been given to both 6-22 week pregnant mothers and their children; especially the short animated film method can be repeated at the level of awareness and knowledge and increase with sustainable practices.
