Abstract (EN)

Hamzanâme is the general name of the epic stories about the epic life and battles of Muhammad's uncle, Hazrat Hamzama. Hazrat Hamza's heroism in defending the Prophet Muhammad at the beginning of Islam and spreading Islam formed the basis of epic folk tales called Hamzanamah. These works, consisting of 72 volumes, contain the richness of many cultures in the Islamic geography. This work, which appeared orally in Arab society, has been adopted by Muslim countries such as Iran and Turkish society for centuries. Each group added their own cultural elements to these stories, making them epic. It is a very important work regarding the structure of the Hamzanamah because it contains excerpts from the biography of Hazrat Hamza and describes the characteristics of many Muslim people. In this study, it was tried to gather information by reading Hamzanâmes and Hamzavi. Our aim is to examine the grammar, vocabulary, form features, language and expression features of the Hamzanâme volumes and the 62nd volume of Hamzanâme identified in our research. The aim of this study is to prepare the transcriptionized text of the 62nd volume of Hamzanâme, which has not been examined until now, with its index and dictionary, and to present it to the benefit of the world of science. The work has the language characteristics of Old Anatolian Turkish, and a linguistic study was also made on the work, thus making a small contribution to the grammar of Old Anatolian Turkish. Keywords: Hz. Hamza, Hamzanâme, Old Anatolian Turkish, 14. Century
