Reflections of Harsit Defense to the region (1916-1918)

In this study, the reasons for the emergence of the First World War, the conditions under which the Ottoman Empire was included in the war, the aims and objectives of Russia in the Eastern Black Sea in this war, the struggles of the Eastern Black Sea in the years of occupation, the Russian Black Sea bombings, and the defensive movements that took place in Harşıt Valley, which were defended under difficult conditions, were discussed. The First World War (1914-1918) was an unprecedented war. This war that emerged in Europe influenced the countries of the world in a short time. Not only the fronts of the great war, but also the people of the region were affected by the war. Russia was one of the countries that were most attrition of the Ottoman Empire in the war. Russia's policy of the warm seas and its struggle to dominate the Turkish Straits continued for hundreds of years. As a matter of fact, Russia supported some nations in the last period of Ottoman Empire with Panslavism policy and supported them in their struggle for independence. Before the war began, the Ottoman Empire was a state that was tired and tired in the face of these problems. He found this exit point next to Germany. Germany added the Ottoman Empire to the First World War, which it succeeded in attracting to it, and strengthened its power in terms of manpower and geopolitics. But when the war ended, these strategies did not work, and the Ottoman Empire was in the process of collapse.
