Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, 5 damaged RC column dimensioned 25x25x195 cm are strengthened with RC jacketing method and become 40x40x200 cm dimension. Superplasticiser admixture is used on each columns. The standard stirrup distance is determined as 10 cm distance for 60 cm from sub of column, 20 cm distance between 60-180 cm and 5 cm distance between 180-200 cm. First column is designed as shear reinforcement (anchors), impermanent vertical reinforcement, standard stirrup distance. As a differance from the first column in the second column vertical reinforcements are permanent, the third column has no anchors, the stirrup distance of the forth member is closer (Ø8/7,5), in the fifth column vertical reinforcements are permanent and steel fibered concrete is used. As a result of experimental work, in the first stage the strength comparison of columns between before and after stregthening. In the second stage strengthenening methods applied on structures, definition, investigation and usage of acoustic emission and AE analysis technics are investigated. These technics are consolidated with a deep literature review. The final stage of this study analysis of reinforced concrete columns jacketing method was investigated by acoustic emission.
