Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is Turkish adaptation of Patient Benefit IndexLymphedema (PBI-L) which is developed to assess directly lymphedema, lipedema, lipolymphedema patients benefit from treatments. 81 individuals whose mean age was 47,66±14,23 and were included who were diagnosed and recieved or will be received treatment for lymphedema, lipedema and lipolymphedema were participated to the study. Turkish adaptation of PBI-L was made by following the stages of intercultural adaptation process. PBI-L was performed after one week for test-retest reliability and assessed by Intra Class Corelation (ICC). Internal consistency was calculated by Cronbach's Alpha. Short Form-36 (SF-36) was administered for validity of PBI-L. Kaiser-Meyer-Olsen test was used to evaluate whether the data is suitable for factor analysis. ICC complience coefficient was found 0.73 (p<0,0001). Cronbach's Alpha coefficient changed between 0.77-0.90.low Corelation was found between total score of PBI-L and mental health and physical function sub-dimentions of SF-36 for validity(p<0,05). Kaiser-Meyer-Olsen statistic result 0,6 and it was determined that the data wasn't suitable for factor analysis. It was determined that PBI-Lwas a reliable questionnaire for Turkish lymphedema, lipedema and lipolymphedema patients. The validity of PBI-L can be tested with disease specific health related quality of life questionnaires in the future.
