Abstract (EN)
Hospitals are complex structure organizations, which host the many areas of expertise. In hospitals, business processes in this complex organizational structure are carried out via automation software called Hospital Information System (HIS). In these systems, which can include multiple software and database, and run in a multi-moduled and integrated structure, reaching accurate data for decision support on time poses a major problem. Business intelligence solutions play an important role for overcoming these problems. Day by day, business intelligence solutions are gaining importance in the health sector similar to the other sectors they are used. In the study conducted, it is intended to provide guidance about the acquisition of using business intelligence in the management decision support systems in hospitals. Within this scope, information is provided about the business intelligence architecture's benefits to the businesses by examining all components. In the example application developed, modeling a database in an appropriate structure to the information needed by the senior management in hospitals, preparation of analysis, forming the presentation layer, and making a presentation of the prepared analysis and reports on the control panel are carried out.
