Abstract (EN)

The issues of speech of God and rü'yetullah have been among the topics that have been discussed since the formation of the science of kalam. While the debates about the speech of Allah take place on the basis of the nature of this attribute, whether it is hadith or ancient, and the distinction between the self speech (kalam nafsi) and uttered speech (kalam lafthi); debates on rü'yetullah have been experienced in the framework of whether Allah will be seen in this world and in the hereafter. While the theologians, who belong to the Sunni tradition, generally refering to the texts related to the subject, they put forward their views that Allah will be seen in the hereafter and that his speech is eternal; The Mu'tezila sect strongly opposed these views. Both sides have copyrighted many works and written refutations based on the mental and narrative evidence related to the subject. In this study, we analyzed the manuscript titled "Risâle fî mebâhisi'r-rü'yeti ve'l-kelâm min avîsâti makâsidi ilmi'l-kelâm" written by Hatibzâde Muhyiddin Efendi from the Sunni school, on speech of God and his ru'yet and we prepared it for publication. We examined his views on these two issues. This work, in addition to showing Hatibzâde's views on Allah's attribute of speech and ru'yet, also contains rational and narrational refutations of Mu'tazila's views on the subject by making use of the Sunni kalam classics. Keywords: Science of Kalam, Attribute of Kalam, Ru'yet, Hatibzade
