In this thesis, Surface Wave Analysis Method (MASW), which is one of the seismic methods in geophysics, was used. Hatip District of Meram District of Konya Province was chosen as the research location. Measurements were carried out using an 8 kg sledgehammer as an active source, and the velocity of the S wave passing through the rocks was measured. With the distribution of these measured S wave velocities, Vs30 maps of Hatip District were created. By taking measurements to be evenly distributed in the study area, it was observed that the boundaries of different units became clear as the Vs30 velocities changed between 305.4 m/s and 762.5 m/s on the digital map. The extents of the units existing in the MTA M28 sheet are seen on the map created by using the velocity changes. Although it is known that these velocities will not be the limits of only these units, the geological maps that are available contribute to the determination of the boundaries of the geological units. Since the velocities in the TDBY soil classification table are between 305.4 m/s and 762.5 m/s in the soil classification maps created from Vs30 velocities, Hatip region is predominantly ZC (Very tight sand, gravel and hard clay layers or weathered, very cracked weak rocks) and ZD (Medium) firm – firm sand, gravel or very solid clay layers) soil classes were measured. In a small area, ZB (Less weathered, moderately strong rocks) class soil group was detected. ZA (Solid, hard rocks), ZE (Loose sand, gravel or soft – solid clay layers or profiles containing a total of more than 3 meters thick soft clay layer (Cu<25kPa) meeting the conditions Pl>20 and w>40%) and ZF ( Soils that require site-specific investigation and evaluation: Soils that have the risk of collapse and potential collapse under the influence of earthquakes (liquefiable soils, highly sensitive clays, movable weakly cemented soils, etc.) Peat and/or clays with high organic content with a total thickness of more than 3 meters Total thickness 8 High plasticity (Pl>50) clays with a depth of more than m. Very thick (>35m) soft or medium solid clays) soil groups were not observed as Vs30 velocities ranged from 305.4 m/sec to 762.5 m/sec. A correlation was made between the geological map of the Hatip region and the Vs30 map. As a result of the correlation, the differences in the boundaries of the units in the existing geological map were observed. The geophysical method can be used as an auxiliary method in obtaining geological maps.
