Within the scope of the study, it was aimed to develop various approaches to reduce the amount of high-pressure air used in weaving looms with air jet weft insertion system. Firstly, in order to reduce electricity consumption in air jet weaving looms, the parameters affecting air consumption have been tried to be revealed. The relationship of weft yarn and weft arrival time with air consumption was examined, and recommendations have been developed for reducing consumption. Heald movement and shed movement were analyzed and their effects on weft arrival time were examined. According to the results obtained from the experiments, the improvements to be made on the main injector can significantly shorten the weft arrival time without increasing the air consumption too much.
