Air pollution analysis: An application on Konya province

In this thesis study, air pollution estimates were made in Konya province in order to emphasize the effect of air quality on human and environmental health and to mention its importance. It was aimed to estimate the value of Particulate Matter 10, which is one of the most dangerous air pollutant concentrations. The data were obtained from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and the period covers the years 2021-2023. The extent to which PM10 values are high in Konya province and the air quality analysis in the future period were carried out with the Markov Chains method. The data were classified into 6 cases determined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as good, medium, sensitive, unhealthy, bad and dangerous, and the transition frequency matrix, transition probability matrix and stationarity states were calculated with the help of the Microsoft Excel Program and the relevant comments were made.
