Analysis of approach landing accidents in aviation and required measures to be taken

The aim of this research is to examine aviation accidents from adifferent point of view, flying phase that accident happen, approach andlanding accidents and to bring up required measures to be taken forreducing approach and landing accidents. Only aviation accidents,occurred in civil air transportation with fatal results, have beeninvestigated in this research. The statistic used in this document hasprofit from Flight Safety Foundation in USA, Boeing company,International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) reports and data. Also,fourteen Turkish air transportation fatal accidents, published in ICAOcircular, have been examined. The reasons of approach and landingaccidents have been investigated, and also recommendations and rulesput forth in accordance with ICAO and Joint Aviation Requirements(JAR)..
