Özet (EN)

Today, airlines play an important role in passenger transport. An increase is observed in the number of airports for air travel, which is a fast and sustainable transportation choice to meet the increasing population. Today, cities are developing with the increasing population, high-rise buildings are being built and the constructions in the city periphery have begun to spread. The presence of urban height restrictions around airports to ensure flight safety makes it difficult for cities to plan heights and is an important constraint in terms of security. Local governments and other institutions authorized to make zoning should not exceed the heights in the obstacle plans designed for airports when giving zoning construction height permits. In this case, the constant control of urban heights is an important issue for flight safety. Civil and military aviation authorities carry out manual calculations and drawings while carrying out this process with obstacle control teams. The increasing number of airports and the height control of increasing urban constructions become difficult both in terms of time and in terms of workforce. In this study, ArcGIS Aviation Tool was used with Geographic Information Systems techniques in order to automatically determine the height obstacle analysis of the urban structures within the airport obstacle plan. For heights exceeding the obstacle plan, the evaluation of Aviation and Shading Studies within the scope of the legislation in force has been examined.
