Abstract (EN)

In the scope of the study, terry fabrics having different raw material of pile warp and different weight are cationized in different concentrations after grouping according to the application of bleaching process. The performance and fastness properties of cationized fabrics with different concentrations without bleaching and the towel fabrics where bleaching and cationization are applied together were investigated. Tensile strength, softness, hydrophility, dry and wet abrasion fastness and washing fastness of the fabric dyed, washed and dried under the same conditions after bleaching and cationization processes were tested according to the standards. The data obtained were analyzed graphically and statistically. As a result, it has been found that applying cationization process instead of bleaching process in towel fabrics has positive effect on tensile strength and softness and acceptable levels in terms of hydrophility and fastness value
