The effect of philosophy for children (P4C) creative thinking activities on creative thinking skills of students in life study teaching

The aim of the research is to determine the Effect of Philosophy for Children (P4C) Creative Thinking Skills Development Activities in Life Studies Teaching on the Development of Students' Creative Thinking Skills. When we look at the qualitative study data, it is seen that there are changes between the pre-test and the post-test, and almost all of the students' opinions, especially the products they design, be it their expressive skills, technical thinking and producing projects based on technological features. It was obtained by applying the A and B forms of the Torrance Creative Thinking Test before and after the application. The results of the findings related to these experiments are summarized below. A significant difference was found between the pre-Torrance Creative Thinking Tests and the final Torrance Creative Thinking Tests in favor of the post-tests of the experimental group, in which a program to develop creative thinking in the life studies course was applied. After the statistical study between the Torrance Creative Thinking Test verbal/formal posttests of the experimental and control groups, a significant difference was found in favor of the experimental group in all sub-dimensions.
