The poetics and image in poems of Haydar Ergülen

Haydar Ergülen is an artist who started his literary life in 1980s and continues the art activity at the present time. The artist, who produced various types of texts, came to the forefront with the identity of a poet and gained an important place in Turkish literature. In the introduction of this study that aims to analyze poems of Haydar Ergülen in the context of poetics and image, the cultural environment of 1980s and a brief biography of Ergülen is being mentioned. In the fist part, the concept of poetics is being emphasised in general and the poetic elements in Ergülen's poems are being determined. The second part which forms the basis of the study is being developed araound the predominant images that constitues Ergülen's understanding of poetry and determination of these images throught works of art. The study, which also revealed the images that brought about Ergülen's poem with his poetics, is being resulted with the evaluation of the elements that are the sources of his poems and his image word.
