Artist personality and works of Haydar Telhüner

The lives of the master performers / composers who lived in the past and served Turkish music, and the research of the art works they left behind are of great importance in terms of both the science of music and the creation of materials that can be used by future generations. Based on this idea, the research aims to determine the life, the artistic personality of Haydar TELHÜNER, a composer and performer and his compositions which have been notated or not and to analyze / classify these works in various ways. The research is a descriptive research to determine the current situation, it also includes a qualitative model that uses literature review and document analysis. In addition, quantitative data were used in the analysis / classification / interpretation sections of the identified works. In line with the research, it was determined that many works belonging to Haydar TELHÜNER are not recorded in the repertoire, although he is indicated as a reference in many sources, his name is not mentioned in the notes in the note archives, there are twenty-two works belonging to him, which can be reached in the archives, eighteen of these works are in the form of songs and four are in the form of folk songs, he skillfully used twelve different makams in his compositions, and he used the Hejaz maqam and düyek method more in the analysis on his works.
