Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the problems experienced by livestock farm managers in different provinces of Turkey in herd management. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 55 cattle farming enterprises that voluntarily agreed to participate. The enterprises were categorized into three different scales based on their animal capacities: small enterprises, medium-sized enterprises, and large enterprises. The analysis data pertains to the years 2023-2024, and the satisfaction level of herd management managers at their respective enterprises was compared with other obtained data using correlation analysis. As a result of the analyses, it was found that the main problems and factors increasing dissatisfaction levels among herd management managers included irregular working hours, low financial returns, and insufficient time outside of working hours to maintain their social lives. In addition, problems encountered by enterprise and herd management managers were identified, and solutions and recommendations to address these issues were developed.
