Abstract (EN)

In this study, Aeromonads prevalence in food and environmental samples which could cause especially acute gastroenterit, local or systemic infections were researched. Examined 64 food samples of %59,4 and 66 environmental samples of %53,03 were isolated as Aeromonas spp. Food isolates were defined 25 (%65,8) as A. hydrophila, 9 (%23,7) as A. caviae, 4 (%10,5) as A. veronii biovar sobria. Environmental isolates were defined 20 (%57,1) as A. hydrophila, 13 (%37,1) as A. veronii biovar sobria, two of them (%5,8) as A. caviae. It was thought that biochemical tests acted a part pathogenicity in Aeromonas which were ONPG, haemolysis, congo red binding, siderophore, lysine decarboxylase, ornithin decarboxylase and Voges-Proskauer tests were found positive respectively %86,8, %76,0, %97,3, %39,5, %79,0, %31,6, %52,6 in food isolates. Same tests were found positive respectively %60,0, %57,2, %97,2, %57,2, %82,8, %68,5, %42,8 in environmental isolates. Enzyme activity tests were made about pathogenicity which were DNAse, protease, phospholipase, lipase tests were found positive respectively %52,6, %68,5, %71,0, %73,6 in food isolates. Same tests were found positive respectively %68,6, %94,3, %68,4, %68,5 in environmental isolates. In the result of antibiogram tests it was seen that all food isolates were resistant to Cephalothin (%100,0) , Cefotaxime (%84,2 of the isolates), Meropenem (%29 of the isolates). Environmental isolates were found resistant to Cephalothin (%88,6 of the isolates), Cefotaxime (%57,2 of the isolates), Meropenem (%31,5 of the isolates).
