Özet (EN)
In this thesis, the ability of aquatic plants (Phragmites australis) grown in the coastal waters of Hazar Lake to accumulate some heavy metals (Cr, Cd, Cu, Ni, Zn, Co) was investigated. For this purpose, samples were collected seasonally from Phragmites australis plants grown in the coastal waters of Hazar Lake, lake water and sediments. It was determined that the concentrations of Cr, Cu, Ni, Zn and Co of heavy metals followed the sediment > plant > water sequence. Cadmium concentrations were observed to follow the sediment ≅ plant> water sequence. It was determined that heavy metal concentrations in sediment followed Cr > Ni > Zn > Cu > Co > Cd, heavy metal concentrations in water followed Cr > Zn > Cu > Cd > Co > Ni, heavy metal concentrations in plant followed Cr > Zn > Cu > Ni > Co > Cd sequencing. The translocation factor is > 1 for the chromium and zinc; cadmium, copper, nickel and cobalt were found to be < 1. According to the mean translocation factor, the metals followed the following sequence: Cr > Zn > Cd > Ni > Co > Cu. Bioconcentration factor values were determined as < 1. According to the average bioconcentration factor values, metals followed: Cd > Zn > Cu > Cr > Co > Ni. Key Words: Wetland, Hazar Lake, Heavy metal, Plant, Coastal waters
