In this master thesis, Hazînî?s Translation of the Forty Hadith written in the 16th century is examined.In the introduction, Turkish language?s historical period from the 13th century to the present is mentioned. After that, Hazînî and the general features of the literary work are told.In the first chapter, different definitions and the importance of syntax are emphasized. Then, definitions and opinions about word groups are given. In the second chapter, the word groups in Hazînî?s Translation of the Forty Hadith are identified and classified in according to my thesis adviser Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Usta?s views and researches about word groups. After that, the thesis contains Hazînî?s Translation of the Forty Hadith?s transcription into Latin alphabet. In the conclusion, the findings from the samples of word groups in the text are given.It is aimed to contribute to the studies about syntax of Turkish language?s historical period in terms of word groups.
