Total quality management in ready made clothing industry and a model approaching concerning ISO 9000 quality guarantee system and its application

In an envlroment of competition where commercial borders are removed, the survival of an enterprise and increasing its share in the market is related to its ability to produce goods that are approriate to quality standards as well as its ability to ensure that quality standards. Therefore, meeting the customer needs and achieving the principle of " producing the highest quality product with the lowest cost " become the ain goal of modern business world and managers. Modern quality management philosophy has lead to the Total Quality idea. The Total Quality idea, which aims at meeting customer needs with the most proper cost, recommends a principal by which manufacturing defects are detected in their origin to be removed and products are transported to the customers with best quality. This new comprehension in quality makes us consider organizational structure, authority and responsibilities, various methods and applications wiht a different point of view in achieving the main goal of an enterprise. ISO 9000 Standards serve as a guide book for an enterprise in increasing its production quality and ensuring high quality in achieving the Total Quality Goal. In this paper ; a Quality Security System Standard named TS - ISO 9002 Quality Security Model For Plant and Manufacturing" is applied to a ready - made cloth manufacturing plant and the solutions which the model brings for quality problems are examined.
