The evalation of the apprenticeship training in the ready-made clothing enterprises from the point of view of efficiency

11 ABSTRACT This study aims examination of the apprenticeship training activities at the enterprises of ready-made clothing in Denizli Province as regards the opinions of enterprise managers, apprentices, training personnel from the point of productivity. The universe of the study is comprises of managers, training personnel an apprentices at large size ready-made clothing enterprises operating in Denizli Province and registered to Denizli Chamber of Industry. The sample is composed of managers, training personnel, and the apprentices of 10 establishments selected from the universe representing the environment. Three different data collecting tools have been developed for managers, training personnel and apprentices for the collection of data pertaining to the examination of the apprenticeship framing activities at establishments. Survey forms have been applied by the researcher to the managers, framing personnel and apprentices by visiting the enterprises. Data gathered from 10 enterprise managers, 15 framing personnel and 229 apprentices have been transferred into computer media using SPSS package programme. Findings obtained, have been shown in tables, in the direction of sub- problems and comments have been made. There is a direct relation between the being qualified of the labour force among the production inputs as a result of being long of the manual production period of the work and the efficiency in the ready-made clothing sector, which is claimed to be labour-intensive in accordance with the findings obtained from the views of the mangers, training personnel and the apprentices in the research. Under such circumstances, the demand of the ready-made clothing sector to the trained and qualified labour force gains importance. It has been concluded that the apprentice framing system is quite beneficial from the point view of the availability of trained and qualified labour force in ourm country. However it has been, determined, detected that there are some problems available regarding the applications and application system.
