Problems encountered with the ready-made clothing production planning and proposal of a model

The aim of this research, through investigating and minimising and fixing or eliminating the problems that are faced in a ready-made clothing management while using necessary labour force, machine, and raw materials, is to constitute a production plan in order to provide the maximum profit and minimum cost for an enterprise.Frame of this research consisted of the labours from all of the departments of the ready-made clothing enterprise, and from all of the produced goods in an enterprise.In addition, sample of this research also included 90 employees from the production department, and the produced goods in course of the observation.For this practically made research, contacted with a big scaled ready-made clothing company, and permissions have been given for observation, conducting surveys, and obtaining management information. Survey method has been used to detect the problems that are encountered in the course of production in a confection company. By evaluating the gathered data from the survey, and through the light of information that obtained from management, has been constituted a programming model which will provide the maximum profit and minimum cost for an enterprise. At the same time, an observation has been took place to solve the detected problems which encountered in the production department. From this aspect, in this research case study used which is considered as a descriptive method that constitutes data for practicing through survey and observation.The data used in the study were obtained through the observation which carried out in an enterprise, survey technique and through investigating the information that are attained from related unities. Before survey questions prepared, an observation had been conducted in a firm where study took place. Survey questionnaire has been prepared under the cover of observation results and the literature reviews. In addition, ?SPSS 18.0? statistical packet programme was taken into consideration to evaluate the survey results. Additionally, WINQSB computer programme was used so as to establish the production planning model in order to achieve the maximum profit and the minimum cost for the ready-made clothing company where research carried out. The formed production plan for the ready-made clothing was analysed as a linear programming model in a packet programme.Findings show that main problems majorly connected with the production methods of the management when the problems examined which are caused in a management from the labour force, from machine and equipments, and from raw materials. According to questionnaire result that applied to workers of an enterprise, workers think that production problems secondarily caused from the production methods. Enterprise in intermittent production type, produces on the basis of party. Production plans no contain sustainability. In each production plan, all elements are re-planned non-standard. In this circumstance, even though firm chose the goals of maximum profit or minimum cost, whichever it chooses, the reason lies in that its sources are non applicable (non-utilizable). If firm continues in this production method, then It is impossible to get rid of non-utilizable resources. Production method has to be changed. In the light of these findings, recommendations have been presented in dealing with the production planning for the ready-made clothing enterprises and for the future academic researches that can be conducted.
