Dasein, world of life and temporality in the contex of Heidegger's critique of western metaphysics

The aim of this study is to emphasize the difference of Dasein, which exists by establishing practical relations in the world of life, exposes this existence through temporality, from the Kantian and Descartesian subject in traditional metaphysics. Dasein is trying to establish practical relations rather than establishing theoretical relations in the lifeworld. Dasein's interest in establishing these practical relationships is care, rather than theoretical understanding. Through care, Dasein establishes an immediate relationship with nature and thus understands things as being ready-to-hand, zuhandane. The modality of things are in ready-to-hand lets temporality indirectly experienced by Dasein. Because for Heidegger, things are covered in time in terms of functionality of objects. Our horizon is not the thing itself, but its functioning, intemporality. In other words, for instance in a drinking a glass of water, our interest and orientation is for the whole, which includes the glass, the water, as if there is no a three-dimensional border between them, rather than the glass itself. As a result, we intend to express the unity of the whole sense of philosophy, which Parmenides had pursued, as both a whole within itself and the implications of this holism in our practices in everyday life.
