Abstract (EN)

The rapid development of technology with the increasing need of human beings for science has excited people and revealed the desire to dominate the world, causing people to wonder more about the future about what might happen in the future. While this rapid development increases the sense of curiosity for the future, it has placed the human being at the center of the world. In Japan, as an extension of manga art, anime has found a place for itself as a new form of expression. Technology, which has become one of the most important subjects of Japanese anime art, and its rapid development have been reflected on the screens by many directors. Hayao Miyazaki, one of the leading names in Japanese anime cinema, focused on the destruction caused by the desire of man to dominate nature in his works on technology. Especially in the movie "Princess Mononoke", it is seen that he warns the humanity by revealing the consequences of selfishly used technology. It can be said that Miyazaki offers a similar view to Martin Heidegger with these works. The reflection of Heidegger's point of view on technology in Miyazaki's cinema has been the display of the tension created by modern technology with the art of cinema. One of the leading names of existential philosophy, Heidegger's thoughts on technology are that the essence of technology should be questioned again. In this sense, we can say that the future anxiety caused by the misuse of technological developments is not a coincidence. In this study, Heidegger's view of technology and his interpretation of technological concepts formed the focus of the research. These technological concepts of Heidegger were examined in Hayao Miyazaki's cinema, and Miyazaki's "Princess Mononoke" was examined in detail in terms of content and form. As a result of detailed examination, an an implementation movie called "The Game" was made, and Heidegger's view of technology was tried to be reflected in this short film. Keywords: Technology, Martin Heidegger, Animation, Hayao Miyazaki.
