Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, a sensitive and selective solid phase extraction procedure for the determination of trace of , uranyl cation (UO22+, U(VI) ) has been developed. An alumina-sodium dodecyl sulfate coated on with pyrocatechol violet was used for preconcentration and determination of uranyl ion by spectrophotometry method using Arsenazo III reagent. Hemimicel solid phase sorbent was characterized with FTIR Spectroscopy. This sorbent was used seperation and preconcentration for uranyl ion. Uranyl ion which adsorbed on hemimicel sorbent was eluted with nitric acid. In this study, the effects of parameters such as optimum pH, optimum sorbent, optimum ligand amount, optimum eluation solvent, optimum hemimisel amount and sample volume were examined. Optimization data; pH 7, amout of pyrocatechol violet as 40 mg, amount of SDS as 20 mg, amount of alumina as 1 g and 5 mL 0,25 M nitric acid as elution solution were determined. This developed method was applied for preconcentration of uranium (VI) ions from standard soil samples.
