Abstract (EN)
The goal of this study was to examine the relationship between Asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) and Neopterin (NP) levels for cardiovascular diseases in patients with renal failure disease. The most important mortality cause is cardiovasculer disease with hemodialysis treatment patients. ADMA , an endogenous inhibitör of NOS , is increasingly recognized as a putative biomarker in cardiovaskuler an renal diseases. Neopterin, derivates from monocyte and macrophages via interferon-?, its known to be a nonintrinsic biochemical marker of stimulated cellular immune response although its biological function has still not been well understood. In this study, serum ADMA and NP levels of 33 patients with renal failure at before and after hemodialysis were compared with healthy control subjects. Serum ADMA and NP levels were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Serum ADMA and NP levels were found icreased when compared to controls at before dialysis. However serum ADMA and NP Levels were found statisticaly decreased when compared to control at after dialysis. Although there wasn?t any positive correlation between ADMA and NP levels at before dialysis. We found positive correlation between ADMA and NP levels at after dialysis.High concentrations both ADMA and NP levels in renal failure are potential risk factors for the cardiyovascular diseases. In thıs present study ıt seems that. Both ADMA and NP levels are independent risk factors. Hemodialysis did not hold out to eliminate these two risk factors in the serum. The correlation between ADMA and NP levels may be consideral in terms of effective dialysis at after dialysis.
