Abstract (EN)

Work satisfaction, which is a highly effective and very important factor in terms of results for both public domain and private sector, is positive and emotional state which an individual feels his/her work at the result of his/her work or the experiences obtained. The level of the employee?s work satisfaction is an effective factor for enabling realization of the organization?s objectives in an efficient and productive way.In this study, the effect of work satisfaction among nurses, who work in hospitals, on their loyalty to the hospital was examined. In research, survey method was used as data collection tool. Data were analyzed in SPSS program. Variance analysis and regression analysis were used to evaluate the data. 110 volunteer nurses among 243 nurses working in Istanbul Süreyyapaşa Göğüs Hastalıkları ve Göğüs Cerrahisi Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi (Istanbul Süreyyapaşa Chest Diseases and Chest Surgery Training and Research Hospital) attended the survey by sampling within the scope of the research. It was determined that the organizational loyalty of the nurses, whose duration of service in nursing were 10 years or more, was higher than the others. (F:4, 151; p<0,05)In the research, the increase in the wages of the nurses weakened their organizational loyalty. The intensity of work in the hospital enables them to express themselves more effectively. This, too, affects the organizational loyalty in a positive way. Keywords: Hospital, nurse, work satisfaction, organizational loyalty
