Examination of nurses' healthy lifestyle behaviors

Abstract (EN)
Objective: It was planned to evaluate the Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors of nurses working in private hospitals. Method: The research was carried out with the participation of 180 nurses working in three branches of the Life Hospitals Group in Antalya. In the study, data were collected with the "Personal Information Form" and the "Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors-II (HLBS II)" scale, which questioned the sociodemographic characteristics of the participants. The data were analyzed with the help of SPSS 20.0 statistical program. Results: It was determined that the mean HLBS-II score of the participant nurses was 127.99±20.71. Spiritual Development and Interpersonal Relations sub-factors were the highest scores, while Physical Activity was the lowest score sub-factors. As a result of the analyzes, it was observed that healthy lifestyle behaviors differed significantly according to age, having children, educational status, the institution of employment, working time in the institution and profession, working environment satisfaction, nutrition and skipping meals, doing sports, sleep duration and perceived health. Conclusion: As a result of the analysis, the participant nurses; It has been observed that healthy lifestyle behaviors are moderate, they are better in spiritual development and interpersonal relations, and they are insufficient in physical activity and stress management.
