Abstract (EN)

Mobbing is an important problem wherever there is business life in the world. Health sector is one of the sectors where mobbing is seen frequently and mobbing is mostly experienced by nurses among healthcare personnels. In studies conducted in Turkey, there are studies that have an effect on mobbing with many factors, as well as gender and marital status variables, and exposure rates to mobbing vary. For this reason, the study was planned as a meta-analysis study in order to determine the effects of nurses' gender and marital status variables on mobbing. The number of studies included in the meta-analysis is 21. 17 studies were included in the gender variable and 20 studies were included in the marital status variable. The writing guide of "Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta Analyzes (PRISMA)", which is a protocol used for systematic review and meta-analysis, was used in the reporting of this study. The studies included with the quality of the studies specified in item 12 in the PRISMA model received 8 points out of 9 points. Fisher's Z was used in the calculation of the magnitude of the effect. In order to test the heterogeneity between studies, Cochran's Q statistics was used and the random effect model was chosen according to the result. Funnel plot diagram, Begg and Mazumdar Rank correlation analysis and Egger regression analysis results were used to test the publication bias of the studies included in the met-analysis and the included studies were found to be without publication bias.In this study conducted throughout Turkey, it was concluded that there was a very strong positive effect between gender and mobbing, and it was observed that female nurses were exposed to mobbing more than male nurses. In addition, it was observed that the relationship between marital status and mobbing had a positive moderate effect and it was concluded that married nurses were exposed to mobbing more than single nurses.
