Özet (EN)

Aim: This study was conducted to determine the attitudes of nursing students towards nursing profession and clinical practice. Material and Method: In this descriptive and cross-sectional study, 234 nursing students studying at a state university were included. "Personal Information Form", "Kolorta Nursing Attitude Scale" and "Korzul Clinical Practice Attitude Scale" were used as data collection tools. In the evaluation of the data, t test, Anova analysis, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskall-Wallis and correlation analysis were used. Results: The mean score of the nursing attitude scale was 76.30±13.20 and the mean score of the clinical practice attitude scale was 88.98±16.33. While students' attitudes towards the nursing profession and clinical practice did not change according to gender, class, and academic achievement perception, they differed according to variables such as choosing the department willingly, being satisfied with the nursing department, perceiving the future of the profession, clinical achievement perception, being satisfied with clinical practice, and choosing the department again. Conclusion: Students' attitudes towards nursing profession and clinical practice were found to be at a moderate level. As the positive attitude towards nursing profession increased, the positive attitude towards clinical practice increased. Therefore, it is recommended that interventions should be made to improve students' positive attitudes towards nursing profession. Keywords: Nursing students, attitude, clinical practice, attitude towards nursing
