The impact of in service training on performance

The aim of this study is to point out the impact of in service training in the field of nursey on performance.The data of this study are collected from twenty hospitals in İstanbul.Twelve of these hospitals are private,whereas eight of them are public hospitals.In the first part of the study,the aims of in service training,its significance and its benefist are tried to be clarified.With the help of the causes that make in service training essential and under the following headlines,it is attempted to figure out the tasks and responsibilities of nurses and the importance of nursery services.This process has been realised after an analysis of the required literature concerning the related topics within a general framework.In the second part of the study,different types of in service training,the methods used during the in service training and the whole in service training process are analysed.Also programming,implementation and evaluation is being declared.Moreover,the concepts concerning in service training and performance are being dealt and emphasised.The third part of the study deals with an application identifying the impact of in service training of nurses on their performance.The research data are evaluated by means of the SPSS program.A regression analysis has been carried out in order to test the hypotheses and to test the frequency list,factor and correlation analyses corresponding to the demographic characteristics of the nurses.According to the results achieved by the study,the presentation and its content have a positive effect on the performance of nurses.Key Words:Nurse-İn service training-Performance
