Abstract (EN)
HSP is the most common childhood vasculitis seen in the amount of small vessels . It is a self-limited vasculitis usually triggered by triggering factors such as infections, drugs, insect bites, vaccination or allergens in the diet . Non- thrombocytopenic palpable purpura in the skin , is a vasculitis associated with pain in the joints , swelling, abdominal pain, renal involvement , and more rarely, lung , genitourinary and central nervous system involvement . Investigation of the factors that may influence the prognosis of HSP renal involvement is planned in this thesis in order to provide information to the literature and to route monitoring and treatment of HSP children in country . Patients who applied to Balcalı Hospital Child Health and Disease units between 1999 and 2014 , diagnosed with HSP and followed for at least 6 months were included in the study . Demographic information , medical history , physical examination, laboratory results and treatment protocols were analyzed and recorded. SPSS 17.0 software package program was used in the statistical analysis of data. 162 patients were enrolled in the study . Renal biopsy was performed in 21 patients. Patients with and without the involvement of the kidneys were divided into two groups. Then those patients with renal involvement were divided into two subgroups as those who had a renal biopsy and who did not. The obtained data were analyzed in terms of statistics in two groups and discussed comparatively in the light of literature. Significant difference was detected between two groups in terms of the presence of occult blood in the stool and diarrhea in the comparison made between the patients , with the involvement of the kidneys, who had a renal biopsy and who did not . Significant difference was detected in terms of albumin , systolic blood pressure , BUN, creatinine, hemoglobin, hematocrit, median CRP values. In our study , eventhough achieved significant results required for the course of the disease were not obtained , it may be an important first step to reveal the data of patients with HSP followed in our hospital . Key Words : Henoch Schönlein purpura , HSP nephritis, HSPN prognosis , prognostic factors.
