Introduction: Nasal polyposis (NP) are benign mucosal protrusions of multifactorial origin, characterized by mucosal inflammation, expanding into the lumen in the nasal cavity. Considering the etiopathognesis and the uncertainties in thetreatment of nasal polyps, we think that the study we planned with the large patient series will contribute significantly to the literature. Method: Recep Tayyip Erdogan University Faculty of Medicine, Otorhinolaryngology Department, 320 patients who were admitted to the clinic between January 2013 and December 2019 with nasal congestion and who were diagnosed with NP as a result of their examination and examination, were evaluated retrospectively. Of patients; demographic information (age, gender, job), symptoms, additional diseases, previous operations, endoscopic nasal examination findings, radiological examinations, follow-ups and recent controls were evaluated. Results: The averageage of the NP cohort was 50.2 ± 14 years and 74.1% (n: 237) was male. The median age was higher and the male ratio was lower compared to surgical patients. 14.7% (n: 47) of the patients were in the occupational group at risk of NP, 40% (n: 128) were cigarettes and 5.3% (n: 17) were alcoholusers. Allergic rhinitis was detected in 44.1% of the patients and asthma in 13.1%. It was determined that %21,2'si (n:68) of the patients had endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) surgery before. There currence rate in all patients was 21.2%. There currence rate was low in patients who received ESS. The most common complaints of the patients at the first examination; While obstruction, itching, discharge, and smell decreased, these complaints decreased after surgery compared to medical treatment. Significantly more improvement was observed in endoscopic findings in patients who received ESS compared to patients receiving medical therapy. A positive correlation was observed between the computed tomography findings of the patient and ESS surgical techniques. The complication rate in the NP cohort was 10.6%. XII Conclusion: While a significant improvement was observed in the symptoms and examination findings with both medical treatment and surgical treatment in patients followed up with the diagnosis of NP, the improvement was more pronounced in patients undergoing surgical treatment (ESC). We would like to emphasize that the treatment should be planned as a combination of medicaland / or surgical treatment in patients followed up with the diagnosis of NP and surgical treatment should be a part of the treatment in appropriate patients.
