Abstract (EN)

Natural disasters are one of the biggest problem of our age. Slopes are natural scarps which have irregular geometry and their movements called landslides. Because of negative effects of landslides are serious natural disaster which damages settlements causing loss of lives and properties. Therefore, these movements need to be identified and monitored. Today, the use of remote sensing system in landslide monitoring has gained importance. The use of radar satellite images (DInSAR) and laser scanning techniques (LiDAR), which can produce 3 dimensional high precision data in the remote sensing methods, comes to the fore. Primary aim of this project, reveal the relationship between surface deformations, determination of the size and speed of the mass movement in the determined areas and investigation of the accuracy of movement and, determination of the density of building stock belonging to the Balçova and Agora settlements in the area of influence of the landslides observed along the İzmir Fault Zone with LiDAR and DInSAR data in 2 years. As a result; By determining the landslide movements in designated areas, it has been possible to monitor these movements.
